Another Stunning Victory for the Qatar Team in Russia

Nothing is getting between the Qatar Team and victory this season. While Jay Price powered over the finish line in first in Portimao in May, Alex Carrella led the team to first place in the Russian leg of the F1h2o World Championships last weekend.

The young Italian drove an excellent 40 lap race on the Nizhny Kaban Lake in Kazan and scored his first gold of the season. Abu Dhabi’s Thani Al Qamzi closely followed Carrella round the circuit gaining second place while Jay Price made it in at third having moved up from 15th following two yellow flag incidents. This puts Carrella just two points behind Price on the points table and the Qatar Team well ahead of the rest.

Abu Dhabi’s US driver Scott Gillman also performed well gaining fourth place in his first race for four years.

We’re looking forward to seeing whether the Qatar Team duo can do it again in Kiev at the end of July.
