Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island is already regarded as a luxury hot spot for locals and tourists alike and the marina is now set to become one of the hottest international yachting destinations as Camper & Nicholsons takes to the helm.
Aldar, Abu Dhabi’s leading property development investment and management company, has appointed the prestigious Camper & Nicholsons Marinas (CNM), world leaders in luxury marinas, to operate and manage Yas Marina. CNM will incorporate Yas Marina into their portfolio of high end marinas, boosting its status on the world map and driving sales.
The premium marina, situated next to the Yas Marina Circuit, home to the Formula 1TM Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, first opened back in 2009 in conjunction with the inaugural F1 race. It has a capacity of 143 yachts from 10m to 90m, and additional visitor berthing for superyachts up to 150m.
The marina opens out onto the idyllic Arabian Gulf and offers a variety of cruising options for boats around Abu Dhabi’s 200 uninhabited islands as well as access to the region’s main cities and their beautiful coastline. The island’s other attractions include Ferrari World (which you can read about in our Middle East Features section), Yas Links Golf Course, Yas Hotel and a diverse line up of events.
Said Nick Maris, CEO of Camper & Nicholsons,
“It is a privilege to be part of the future of Yas Marina, already one of the world’s finest. Working with the existing excellent staff of the marina, we aim to use our specialist skills to further improve the client experience at Yas Marina and strengthen its position as a flagship international destination.”
