Sail for a Cause in Charity Sail 2011

Start the fall sailing season on a good note by taking part in Island Sailing Club’s Charity Sail 2011 in Cowes, UK on October 8, 2011. This is the third year that the prestigious club has hosted such an event raising money for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.

The event is open to all private yachts, corporate, individuals (sailors and non sailors) and sports boats (i.e SB3′s, etc). You can also consider chartering a yacht in the area to compete and getting a crew of friends or family together. This year also sees the introduction of the new “Sonar” class of yachts. Eligible boats may enter by completing the entry form and sending it together with the required fee, to Chris Thomas at the Island Sailing Club by midday on October 3, 2011.

All sailing takes place around the scenic Central Solent sailing area. The race will be followed by a party in the evening hosted by the Island Sailing Club.
